Sometimes Christmas can be a lot of work, especially if you’re dealing with loss. Sometimes, you can’t do everything, and that’s ok. Sometimes you need to accept help. Tonight I dropped off a giant poinsettia to a member of the family that just lost 2 of her sisters to cancer. Undoubtedly, she doesn’t feel much like shopping. So in addition to the poinsettia, that I had bought from a friend who was selling them to help raise funds for her son’s grade 7 trip, I offered to go shopping for her if she needed it. She seemed very appreciative to have had the offer and that she may not need to subject herself to the hustle and bustle in the stores common this time of year.
