Tim’s. Say that word to any Canadian and they’ll instantly know what you’re talking about. It is a Canadian Coffee icon and a place I seem to find my way to very regularly. Today as I picked up an afternoon tea, I threw the change I received into their collection for the Tim Horton’s Children’s Foundation, something I haven’t done in a long time. These collections along with the “Send a Kid to Camp” day they hold in May, raise funds to send kids to camp who otherwise may not get that experience.
There are literally TONNES of opportunities to toss your spare change to charity. The Salvation Army has people in stores now, unobtrusively collection your donations, Banks, restaurants, stores, all seem to have a collection jar on the go eagerly waiting to swallow your kindness. And really…do you honestly need or WANT those pennies jingling around in your pocket or purse anyway?
